At First United Methodist we worship through our hymns, songs, and anthems we offer our praise and thanksgiving.
Vocal Choirs
Cherub Choir
Children ages K-2nd grade learn music to share at the various worship services. Choir also provides the opportunity for prayer and sharing God’s word through song. Rehearsals are on Sundays at 4:30 p.m.

Chorister Choir
Children ages 3rd-5th grade learn music to share at the various worship services. Instruction provides a more in depth experience as children will become acquainted with reading music. Choir also provides the opportunity for prayer and sharing God’s word through song. Rehearsals are on Sundays at 4:00 p.m.

Sanctuary Choir
This choir for adults provides weekly music for the 11:00 a.m. Sanctuary worship service and may present major sacred works throughout the year. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm.

Genesis Praise Band
The band plays many different genres of music including popular Contemporary Christian songs, traditional hymns with a modern spin, gospel bluegrass/folk favorites, as well as rock music. The band welcomes volunteers to be a part of the band. Vocalists, guitarists, keyboardists, drummers, and bass players make up the core band; however, we welcome any type of instruments from horns to other string instruments to join in. The ability to read music is not a requirement. Band members work on a rotating schedule based on their personal availability.
Handbell Choirs
This ministry utilizes a newly refurbished 4 ½ -octave set of Schulmerich handbells and 4 octaves of Malmark handchimes.

Adult Bell Choir
This intergenerational ensemble for adults is inclusive of college students and experienced youth. Music reading skills preferred. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings with the flexibility to begin earlier or stay later for an additional 30 minutes. Rehearsal are on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.

Children's & Youth Bell Choirs will resume in the fall.
Children's Bell Choir
This ensemble is open to all elementary ages. Participants below grade 4 may also require a pointer to stand with them as an aid to follow the music. Children with very small hands might be in need of a pointer. If you would be willing to join our fun and games as a “pointer” please let us know.

Youth Bell Choir
Designed for youth ages in grades 6-12.
Some music reading experience is certainly a bonus, but not a requirement. ​
